Christopher Hire is the Innovator-In-Chief of 2thinknow^TM and author of the Global Innovation Review.

 

A seasoned globe-trotter, Hire initiated an innovation review and visited 24 selected innovative cities over 3 calendar years researching, analyzing and writing the Global Innovation Review.

Hire believes the best research and analysis is practical, based on what actually works, and must be driven by a vision for positive change.

In the last 10 years, Christopher Hire has been the ‘go-to’ consultant at over 350 organizations in an advisory, data analysis, small systems or executive education capacity.

Few consultants have observed change across such a breadth and depth of organizations.

Hire has worked for General Managers, CEOs, mid-managers, executives and consultants at clients such as Kelloggs, Toyota Australia, Zurich, ANZ Investment Bank, Commonwealth Bank, McDonalds, Red Cross, LendLease, Catholic Education, ABC TV, Parliament of Victoria and Federal Government agencies including the Australian Defence Department.

Prior to 23 Hire worked as a graphic designer in Point-of-Sale working on projects for Coca-Cola and Arthur Yates, following his graduation from the University of Tasmania.

Working as a technology consultant and educator since the age of 23, Hire can list over 350 organizations he has worked for on successful (primarily technology) projects.

His technical skills became legendary in organizations like Australia’s largest insurer, IAG /NRMA; and later as a hands-on manager finding technical solutions for banking and other clients.

For the last 5 years he had run and grown an IT consulting firm, simple, specializing in data analysis, reporting and design using Microsoft technologies, and now Web 2.0.

Hire studied part-time at the Australian Graduate School of Management (AGSM). And Hire then went on to travel the world to 40 cities (24 for this Review) comparing and analyzing ideas and change within different societies.

Hire has developed the ‘Innovation Pocket’ insight and ‘Hire Innovation Loop’ models from private research, the diversity of his consulting experience and global travel.

Professionally Hire is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management, Member of both the Australian Institute of Company Directors & Australian Institute of Project Management, and a Companion of Australian Computer Society.

Christopher Hire is now Innovator-In-Chief of 2thinknow™ and now lives from a suitcase, either in Europe, America or Australia. His interests include food, wine and travel (which is just as well really.)
